The Walk of Shame

Eleanor: I have lived in that penthouse for ten years.

Maya: And your lease was terminated today.

Eleanor: It is not a lease. I own it.

Marcus: The penthouse is corporate property, Eleanor.

Eleanor: My belongings are up there.

Maya: Security is packing your belongings into boxes as we speak.

Eleanor: You can't just throw me out on the street.

Maya: You have the summer house.

Eleanor: The season is over!

Maya: Then it will be very quiet for you.

Eleanor: I won't go.

Maya: You don't have a choice.

Eleanor: I am a respected member of this community.

Maya: You are a fraud who assaulted a teenager in a hotel lobby.

Eleanor: I barely touched you.

Maya: Everyone here has it on video.

Maya pointed to the dozens of guests still holding up their phones, recording every humiliating second.

Eleanor: Stop filming me!

Bystander: Smile for the camera, thief.

Eleanor: How dare you speak to me like that!

Marcus: It is time for you to leave, Eleanor.

Eleanor: I need to go upstairs and get my jewelry.

Maya: The jewelry belongs to the estate. It was purchased with stolen funds.

Eleanor: Those were gifts!

Maya: My lawyers will sort out what is yours and what isn't.

Eleanor: You are leaving me with nothing.

Maya: I am leaving you exactly what you deserve.

Eleanor: Please, Marcus. Help me.

Marcus: I think it's best you call a cab, Eleanor.

Eleanor: A cab? I have a personal driver.

Maya: The company car has been repossessed.

Eleanor: This is a nightmare.

Maya: For you, maybe. For me, it is just the beginning.

Eleanor: I will ruin you, Maya.

Maya: You can certainly try.

Eleanor: You haven't seen the last of me.

Marcus: Security, please escort this woman off the premises.

Two large men in dark suits stepped out from the crowd, grabbing Eleanor firmly by the arms.

Eleanor: Let go of me! Do you know who I am?

Maya: Not anymore.

Eleanor: You will regret this!

Maya stood up slowly, brushing the dust off her jeans as the guards dragged the screaming widow out the glass front doors.

Marcus: Are you alright, Ms. Vance?

Maya: I am now.

Marcus: Welcome to the family business.
