Maya: Cut those stems just a little shorter, Sarah! We need the white roses in the center!
Sarah: Right away, Miss Vance!
One year later, the sun shone brightly through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows of *Lily’s Floral Designs*, a massive luxury flower boutique located in the heart of Chicago. Fresh orchids, lilies, and red roses filled the air with a sweet, beautiful scent.
Arthur: Look at this place! The grand opening hasn't even started, and there is a line around the block!
Maya: Dad! You came early!
Maya ran over and wrapped her arms around her father, giving him a warm hug. Arthur smiled, holding a large framed photograph in his hands.
Arthur: I brought something for your main office wall.
Maya took the frame and looked down at it. It was a restored picture of her birth mother, smiling in a sunny garden, holding a bouquet of white lilies.
Maya: Oh, Dad... it's perfect. She’s so beautiful.
Arthur: She would be so proud of the woman you've become, Lily. Strong, kind, and brave.
Maya: I couldn't have done any of this without you.
Arthur: You did this yourself, my dear. You took a dark past and turned it into something bright and beautiful.
Outside the store, the ribbon-cutting ceremony drew dozens of news reporters, local business owners, and former coworkers from Maya's catering days. Maya stood beside her father, holding a pair of large golden scissors in her hand.
Reporter: Miss Vance! How does it feel to go from working as a venue maid to owning the biggest floral design firm in the city?
Maya: It feels like justice. It proves that no matter how hard someone tries to hide you in the dark, true light will always find its way back home.
The crowd cheered loudly as Maya snipped the red ribbon, opening the doors to her new life. Arthur placed his arm around her shoulder, his eyes shining with pride as they walked through the sunlit doors together, leaving the pain of the past far behind them.
